Join Local Leaders in Supporting the Greenlights Grant Initiative for Enhanced School Safety
Promoting safer schools requires a collective effort from local elected and community leaders to spread the word about the availability of federal school safety and mental health grants, aimed at increasing support for our school districts.
Local community leaders and elected officials are invited to endorse the Grants For Safe Schools initiative by registering below. Additionally, they can utilize the provided sample proclamation to enact local resolutions supporting this initiative within their communities.
Empowering All School Districts with the Greenlights Grant Initiative
Applying for, and winning, federal grants is complex, expensive, and intimidating. Completing a federal grant application can take up to 100 hours and cost as much as $50,000 to hire a professional grant writer. Because of the expense and time needed, school districts with limited resources and staff, often rural school districts or those in less affluent areas, are at a severe disadvantage in securing federal funding.
The Greenlights Grant Initiative aims to address these hurdles head-on. By raising awareness of available school safety grants, providing school districts with essential resources and guidance, and advocating for fair and sustained federal funding, the initiative strives to level the playing field and ensure all schools have access to the necessary funds for school safety measures.
